The Restaurant at Meander

Celebrating over 250 years of elegance and congenial tradition, the Restaurant at Meander  invites our guests on a truly historic experience.

The Experience: Since 1766, the forefathers of America dined here, warmed by our fire and illuminated by candlelight. Today we strive to keep that tradition alive by providing a welcoming atmosphere and serving dishes inspired by the local area and our colonial past.

Outdoor and Indoor Dining: We offer limited indoor dining in our historic parlor or private dining rooms.  We also offer outdoor dining on our back porch, fountain patio, or picnic tables on the Meander Lawn with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Opening Hours:

• Dinner service is open to the public and guests of the Inn on Thursday-Sunday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
• We offer a continental breakfast with fruit and fresh baked pastries delivered to rooms for guests of the Inn on Mondays and Tuesdays. A gourmet hot breakfast is offered Wednesday through Sunday mornings, which you have the option of adding to your reservation in advance. One of our front desk agents will also be happy to assist you with adding breakfast to your reservation at check-in.
• Breakfast service is open to the public Saturday and Sunday from 8:30-11:00 am, reservations required

The Menu: The Restaurant at Meander  is a unique dining experience where you can have an entire three-course prix fixe dinner or an a la carte style dinner to create your chosen experience. Whether celebrating a special event or just a night out with friends and family, We offer a beautiful setting for a memorable evening. Local Wine & Beer: We are proud of our relationship with local Virginia winemakers, vineyards, and breweries.

• Picnic baskets are available for Inn guests any day of the week with 24-hour advanced notice.

Father’s Day at Meander – June 15th

Treat Dad to a laid-back afternoon feast at Meander’s Father’s Day Supper on Sunday, June 15, 2025, from 2 to 6 p.m. Executive Chef Greer Brannock has crafted an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet that pairs classic Southern comfort with farm-fresh flair—think tomato-cucumber salad splashed with red-wine vinaigrette, honey-buttered house cornbread, slow-smoked pulled-pork barbecue, golden fried chicken, garden-fresh green beans, creamy mac ’n’ cheese and all the cook-out favorites from coleslaw to baked beans and potato salad, capped off with a bubbling fruit cobbler. Priced at $48 per adult and $24 for children 12 and under (plus tax and gratuity), the meal includes unlimited regular or decaf coffee and hot tea. Sunday Supper at Meander 

Join us at Meander for our delightful Sunday Supper series. Each Sunday, gather your loved ones for a heartwarming three-course dinner at just $25 per person. Start with a fresh tomato and cucumber salad accompanied by our homemade cornbread with honey butter, followed by a main course choice of fried chicken or pulled pork BBQ with three savory sides, and capped off with a seasonal fruit cobbler for dessert. Children under 12 dine for just $12, and can enjoy yard games throughout the evening. Enhance your meal with locally sourced beer and wine, available for purchase. Before dinner, take advantage of a historic walking tour at 3 p.m. to uncover the rich heritage of Meander, set against the stunning backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With options for indoor and outdoor seating, and a pet-friendly atmosphere outside, our Sunday Supper is the perfect way to end your week.
